Lisa Foster

Research and Data Analyst

Lisa grew up in Overland Park, Kansas, and came to Stray Dog Policy in 2019 after working as a Solution Designer with the largest independent health IT company in the world.  Lisa is on the Board of Directors for The Rescue Project which is a 100% foster-based animal rescue in Kansas City.  

Lisa now lives in Shawnee, Kansas, with her four rescue cats.  When she’s not analyzing data for Stray Dog Policy, you can find her fostering kittens, assisting with trap, neuter, and release clinics, and scanning for microchips on lost and found pets in her community.

Alicia Rodriguez

Fellow

Alicia is a fellow at Stray Dog Institute. As a fellow, she explores how philanthropic organizations support local initiatives focused on animal welfare and food system policy. Prior to joining Stray Dog, Alicia was a Policy Fellow at the Harvard Animal Law & Policy Program researching avenues for building more political power for farmed animals. She graduated from Harvard Law School in 2015, where she served as the President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund for two years and founded the university-wide Harvard Vegan Society. Following law school, she worked as a corporate litigator at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Delaware and New York. She subsequently started The Land and Sea Institute, a small nonprofit that supports sustainable food policy in local government.
